GCRTA reached the Platinum Level for our commitment to employee well-being through worksite health initiatives—after being awarded Gold for 2023. The Healthy Business Council of Ohio recognizes statewide employers that demonstrate comprehensive worksite health promotion and a culture of wellness.
Opportunity Awareness: National Transit Career Day
GCRTA joined the American Public Transportation Association (APTA) for a national observance that highlights the many pathways to successful careers. From operations, maintenance, safety, and administrative roles, over 383,000 people work in the industry across the country. GCRTA hosted a series of events to encourage current employees and Northeast Ohioans to pursue career advancement.

In 2025, long-tenured GCRTA team members were recognized for their decades of contribution to our workforce and pride in public service. Between celebrating a constant presence of professionalism over more than four decades of safe vehicle operation and a 50-year milestone in service maintenance, the culture of a dedicated workforce at GCRTA continues to thrive.
