2025 Annual Report
Customer Experience Day
On October 7, 2025, GCRTA hosted a day of appreciation to unite riders and employees in our shared commitment to safe, reliable, and respectful service. Across five Bus/Rapid stations, morning and evening commuters enjoyed a day filled with community spirit and mutual goodwill.
W. 117-Madison Station Reopens
After a critical reinvestment in infrastructure, GCRTA unveiled the revitalized Red Line station in late August, just in time for the Cleveland National Air Show over Labor Day weekend. The project restores safe, accessible, and reliable service, and extends the service life of three bridges, the adjoining platform, and replaced city sidewalk handrails and more.
Supporting Transit to Community Events
Residents of a dynamic city like Cleveland deserve easy access to major events. In 2025, GCRTA coordinated special services for a big-time sporting event, a special concert tour, and one of the city’s iconic annual parades. With reduced traffic congestion, riders are able to rely on transit when the city’s demand is the highest.
Modern Fleet Investment Updates
GCRTA strengthened its Fleet State of Good Repair by adding new fixed-route and Paratransit vehicles and retiring buses that had reached the end of their useful life. The agency also advanced its Railcar Replacement Program, with new rail vehicles scheduled to arrive in 2026 to further improve system reliability and the customer experience. These investments reduce breakdowns, enhance accessibility, and support consistent service delivery—while leveraging grant funding to minimize local financial impact.
